Midwest Utility, Burr Ridge, Ill., is now an authorized dealer serving Chicago and surrounding areas for East Manufacturing’s full line of aluminum flatbed trailers and heavy duty truck accessories.
“Customer needs drove us to expand beyond our steel and combo flatbed trailer business, and we went looking for an aluminum trailer that could provide a good fit,” said Ralph ODonnell, co-owner with his brother, Ray, of Midwest Utility.
“A great many owners take a great deal of pride in their trucks and trailers. It’s a big factor in this business. That’s part of the reason we wanted to add the East line of heavy duty truck accessories as well,” said O'Donnell. The accessories line includes all-aluminum products such as toolboxes, cab protectors, fenders and steps.
Started in 1990, Midwest Utility has grown to sales of $50 million. They are located at the intersection of I-55 and I-294 just west of Chicago.
