Barloworld Freightliner Inc. announced its name change to Barloworld Truck Center Inc.
a move that reflects the company’s broader product and service base in the mid-south region. The change was effective October 1, 2004.
Scott Simmons, Barloworld Truck Center Inc. President commented, “This new name allows us to more appropriately represent the variety of brands sold and serviced in various locations. Our brands are Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star, Sprinter and Freightliner Custom Chassis.”
Memphis-based Barloworld Truck Center Inc. is one of five divisions of Barloworld Industrial Distribution headquartered in Charlotte North Carolina.
