The American Moving and Storage Assn. has announced what it hopes will become a tradition -- a poster contest open to the children of those who works in the industry.

Entries will be shown in the Exhibit Hall during the 2005 AMSA Annual Convention and Trade Show.
The AMSA said the theme of the first annual poster contest is “What the Moving Industry Means to Me!”
The rules of the contest are:
• It is open to all children under 16 years of age who are connected with the moving and storage industry. This includes van lines, agents, independent movers and suppliers.
• Three prizes will be awarded for each age category – 6 and under; 7-8; 9-10; 11-12; and 13-15.
• The poster must be submitted on 8 ½ x 11-inch construction paper to AMSA no later than Friday, March 4, 2005.
• The entrant’s name, address, phone number, and moving and storage affiliation must be listed on the back of the paper.
Entries will be mounted on posters and judged by an independent panel during the convention. Notification of winners will be made by April 30, 2005.
Please submit entries to Cindy Simpson at AMSA’s headquarters at 1611 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. For further information, call 703-706-4963 or email csimpson@moving.org.
