National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC), the international association of the tank truck industry, has developed the third edition of it Cargo Tank Maintenance Manual.

The revised edition includes all changes resulting from DOT Docket HM213 and all regulatory changes through June 2004. For the first time, the manual will be available on CD ROM as well as in a printed version with more than 250 pages and 30 graphics.
The manual was developed to help cargo tank maintenance facilities comply with 49CFR Part 180 and other Federal regulations governing the testing, inspection and repair of cargo tanks, and for training purposes. Separate sections cover all DOT400 and MC300 specification cargo tanks and "non-spec" food grade, hot-product and dry bulk tanks. Printable test and inspection forms are included for all tanks. It also includes more than 90 DOT "interpretations" and "guidance documents" to help shops comply with regulations. "How to" procedures are provided to ease record-keeping requirements. The CD ROM features easy to use "point and click" references to help navigate the document.
The third edition of the NTTC Cargo Tank Maintenance Manual is available in the printed and CD ROM version at $375 for NTTC members and $450 for non-members. The printed version or CD Rom version cost $325 for NTTC members and $400 for non-members.
