Hub Group Inc., Downers Grove, Ill., announced it has been named Intermodal Carrier of the Year by Target Corp.
in recognition of its overall performance over the past 12 months. Target is a national discount retailer.
According to the Hub Group announcement, Target cited Hub’s efforts in improving its transportation and administrative initiatives, efforts that have challenged railroads and drayage carriers to improve service as well. Hub Group was also cited for administrative projects, including helping to simplify Target’s EDI and freight payment functions. Hub’s equipment capacity and flexibility during peak shipping seasons also contributed results.
