Melton Truck Lines has rolled out a zero-down lease program designed with drivers in mind.
This program offers newer, late-model Kenworth and Freightliner trucks. All trucks come with 400-hp-plus Cummins and CAT Diesel engines, 10- and 13-speed transmissions, Qualcomm satellite communications system, locking headache racks and five-foot storage boxes, 72-inch walk-in sleepers with oversized bunks, remaining factory warranty on engines, transmissions and rear-end with additional warranties available.
In addition, Melton said it is offering substantial savings through fuel adjustments that can save drivers more than 76 cents per gallon. Melton pays its contractors a total of $1.04 per mile including fuel adjustment, paid tolls and scales, free base plates, permits and trailer usage. Plus, Melton offers health insurance and retirement plan referrals.
