The Institute for Truck Parts Professionals III will be held Sept. 12-15 in Kansas City.
This is a new, industry-wide education forum designed to foster operational excellence in heavy-duty truck parts distribution and customer service. Anyone involved in the truck parts distribution business -- branch manager, purchasing manager, field salesman or manufacturer sales representative -- will benefit from presentations by industry experts.
Sponsored by the Council of Fleet Specialists, the 2-day agenda features a diverse curriculum that provides for both personal and professional growth, with plenty of open discussion and Q & A. Attendees have the opportunity to pre-select their courses during registration and will receive their individual agenda prior to the conference. The classes being offered at this meeting include:

- Effective fleet calls
- Lean principals in store & warehouse
- Branch level survival economics
- Customer/branch sales communication
- Customer service at the counter
- Using the Internet to sell parts
- Air brakes and federal regulations
- Achieving individual priorities
- Seven habits of highly effective people

In addition, trucking editors and top manufacturing executives will present insider views of future heavy vehicle technology, and there will be a three-hour "Finance for the non-Financial" session.
Cost per attendee is $395, with an early bird rate of $349 on registrations prior to Aug.1. Call Doug Dresslaer (816) 421-2600 or go to www.CFSHQ.com.
