The 2004 Walcott Truckers Jamboree will be celebrating its "Chrome" anniversary this year on Thursday & Friday, July 8 and 9 at the Iowa 80 Truckstop in Walcott, Iowa.

"This year’s event is extra special," says Heather DeBaillie, Iowa 80 marketing manager. "We have added a variety of fun activities in honor of our 25th anniversary. It will be our biggest and best event yet."
Everyone is welcome to join in Celebrating America’s Truckers and enjoy live country bands, an Iowa pork chop cook-out, more than 175 exhibits, carnival games, antique truck display, the Super Truck Beauty Contest, Driver’s Best Friend Pet Contest, Trucker Olympics and more.
As always, admission and parking are free.
In honor of the 25th anniversary, there will be a fireworks show at 9:15 Thursday night; a book signing by Kathy L’Amour, wife of the late western writer Louis L’Amour; a giant birthday cake; and the Colgate Country Showdown
