Citrix Systems Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has announced that LTL giant Roadway Express Inc., is using Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server -- a software product -- to give more than 6,000 employees
around the country secure instant access to centralized applications and information.
Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server enables Roadway to give call center representatives and customer service employees access to 30 applications through a browser over the company's proprietary Roadway Enterprise Desktop network.
Employees can connect anytime from any district or division office in 350 terminals. Approximately 1,000 employees have access to the same applications from home over the Internet.
Roadway is a subsidiary of Yellow Roadway Corp.
