Old Dominion Freight Line Inc., Thomasville, N.C., has announced a significant improvement to the LTL carrier's Rate Estimate options currently offered on the ODoGlobal section of Old Dominion's website.
The change involves the addition of Overseas LCL and FCL shipments to the "Rate Estimate" Option.
Old Dominion customers can now receive rate estimates on port-to-port rates within two hours. According to Greg Plemmons, vice president of ODoGlobal, door-to-door rates will take a bit longer but the time involved in producing a rate will be substantially improved.
