Melton Truck Lines, an air-ride flatbed carrier serving the United States, Canada and Mexico, has announced several improved programs for company drivers, owner-operators and lease purchase drivers.
The company is offering a no-down lease program with new Kenworth and Freightliners lease trucks being delivered daily.
Melton is also offering pay increases for both company drivers and owner-operators. Company drivers earn up to 40 cents per mile, plus health, vision and dental insurance. The company has a 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, holiday pay, vacation pay and Christmas bonus.
Owner-operators earn up to 92 cents per mile with fuel adjustments up to 14 cents per mile. They also receive paid base plates, permits, tolls and scales, free trailer usage, layover, detention, minimum load and New York City borough pay.
And Melton’s safety bonus program includes a one-cent per mile bonus for safe company drivers. Owner-operators earn $200 in gift certificates each quarter to stores, restaurants and other services like Wal-Mart, Petro and Bass Pro Shop.
