J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc., the Lowell, Ark.-based truckload carrier, announced its first quarter 2004 one million-mile and two million-mile safe drivers.

J.B. Hunt rewards driver safety by recognizing those who drive one million safe miles with a cash award of $5,000. Drivers reaching two million safe miles with the company receive $10,000, and drivers reaching three million safe miles with the company receive $20,000.
"It takes a dedicated driver who is truly committed to safety to achieve such a milestone," said Kirk Thompson, company president and CEO. "We are proud to acknowledge these drivers who are helping us set a high standard for safety achievement."

Hunt drivers reaching the two-million safe miles mark during the first quarter are: Donald Bishop, Jerry Burgess, Charles Cook, David Downey, Douglas Golden, Harold Gonterman, Thomas Harjo, David Harper, Lewis Lampkin, Kenneth McDaniel, Pedro Mestre, Lynn Schmidt, David Spore, Benjamin Stevens, Gary Webb and Michael Weissmiller.
