Great Dane Ltd. Partnership said this week it is initiating a full second shift of manufacturing operations at its Jonesboro, Ark. manufacturing plant, creating 175 new jobs, and bringing total plant staff to 400 employees.

Tom Czapka, vice president of business development for Great Dane, said, "Due to increased trailer demand, we expect to nearly double our production of dry cargo vans manufactured at the plant to 136 units per week. To meet these increased production needs, we have already expanded our normal payroll to approximately 330 employees and plan to add 70 more jobs over the coming weeks."
