WebTech Wireless, Vancouver, B.C., Canada reported quarterly revenues of $1.75 million, an increase of 84% from $0.95 million in the second quarter of 2003.

Net income for the quarter was $103,697, up from $660 for the same quarter in 2003. Service revenues grew 211% over the same quarter in the year previous, and their contribution to total revenues increased from 21% to 35%. Revenues for the six-month period ending Jan. 31, 2004 was posted at $3,020,081, compared to $1,685,281 for the same period the year previous, reflecting an increase of 79%.
"We are pleased to report that Q2 2004 was not only our biggest quarter to date from a revenue perspective, but also our most profitable," said Anwar Sukkarié, chairman and chief executive officer.
Sukkarié said WebTech was selected by a major U.S. city to equip and provide services for 500 snowplows and support vehicles. WebTech also announced a partnership with Road Legal Inc., to offer WebTech customers automated fuel tax reporting.
Sukkarié said the company has announced a new suite of products and services for trucking that include automated fuel tax reporting, automated paperless driver logs, J1708 engine data interface, driver ID authentication and more.
WebTech offers tracking and mobile communications over ground-based GSM cellular systems.
