The Intermodal Assn. of North America (IANA) has scheduled its 2004 Intermodal Operations & Maintenance seminar Monday, June 14, 2004 at the Sofitel Chicago O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Ill.

The seminar is specifically designed for intermodal managers from all modes who manage operations and maintenance issues on a day-to-day basis. The seminar offers a forum for attendees to learn real-world techniques from their peers and experts from all intermodal disciplines. This year’s educational workshops include:
-- Initial Impact of New Hours of Service regulations on Intermodal Operations
-- Sharing the Responsibility for Intermodal Equipment Roadability – Is a Solution Near?
-- In-Terminal Equipment Damage: Responsibility and Prevention
-- Managing Crisis: Preparation and Response
-- In-Terminal Equipment Visibility
-- Tire Condition Assessment and Awareness
-- Achieving Drayage Efficiencies
-- The Future of Intermodal Trailers.
Besides the informative and educational workshops, there will be plenty of networking opportunities for attendees during the Early Arrival Reception on the evening of June 13, and the Closing Reception immediately following the seminar, so registrants are encouraged to stay late and "compare notes."
Early registration for the seminar ends May 14, and is $250 for IANA at-large members, $300 for regular IANA members, and $350 for non-members. After May 14, registration fees increase to $300 for at-large members, $350 for regular members and $400 for non-members.
