The Autocar Truck plant in Hagerstown, Ind., celebrated its first full year at the Hagerstown location and the largest production month since the plant started operation.

The celebration was highlighted by a visit by Indiana Gov. Joe Kernan, who toured the facility.
March production, anticipated to be more than 125 trucks, will be a record month for Autocar. Customer orders for Autocar trucks also have set new records over the past three months.
Autocar Truck manufactures and markets the Xpeditor, a heavy-duty truck model used mainly for refuse hauling. Limited pilot production started shortly after the move-in date in March 2003 and the first trucks for customer delivery and dealer stock rolled out the doors on Tuesday, June 17, 2003.
As a manufacturer and marketer of low cabover engine (LCOE) Class 8 trucks, Autocar’s products are sold into an array of heavy vocational truck markets, primarily in refuse and waste disposal.
