The next meeting of the Production Engine Remanufacturers Assn. (PERA) will be held on April 1-3, 2004 at the Seelbach Hilton Hotel in Louisville, Ky.

PERA President Asiff Dhanani, said, "Registrants to the Spring Technical and Marketing Conference will have the opportunity to visit the various plants of Jasper Engine and Transmission on Friday, April 2nd, and then on Saturday morning, April 3rd, enjoy a program full of updates on pertinent technical information as well as special marketing sessions."
Friday’s activities include a presentation from Doug Anderson on the Daimler Chrysler 2.7L DOHC engine, followed by Matt Weinzapfel, who will give a preview of the Jasper facilities.
Immediately following these presentations, guests will depart for the tours. These plant tours will allow the group to visit their Crawford County core disassembly facility in Carefree, Ind. and its main plant in Jasper, Ind. Jasper will later treat the guests to a cookout before they return to the hotel.
Among the sessions scheduled for Saturday are the following: "Gasket Failures and Problems," "Installers Perception of Their Reman Engine Business," "Marketing Used Engines," "Instant Financing of Reman Engines," "Machining Pin Bushings," "Crank Finishes," "New Engines and Common Traits/Failures/Changes" and a "SourcePERA Update."
