Odyssey Overland Inc. has announced the acquisition of Omni Logistics, a provider of bulk trucking services in the U.S.

Odyssey Overland Inc., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Odyssey Logistics & Technology, a global logistics provider to the process, chemical and consumer packaged goods industries. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
According to the announcement, the acquisition makes Odyssey the largest non-asset owning bulk trucking company in the country.
Omni's infrastructure will be integrated into Odyssey's Global Trading Platform, a web-based transportation management system, and its customer base of more than 200 manufacturing customers. The acquisition adds a bulk transportation network to Odyssey's existing service.
"Odyssey offers logistics and transportation services in all modes with the unique capability to handle the particular requirements of bulk and hazardous materials," said Bob Shellman, CEO of Odyssey Logistics & Technology.
