CFI, an international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo., recently announced its drivers of the year.

Each driver honored as a driver of the month last year was an automatic nominee for driver of the year in his or her respective category.
A proclamation from the Missouri State Senate and $1,000 cash, among other prizes, were presented to each winner. The annual winners are as follows:
-- Jerry West achieved company driver of the year. West joined CFI in 1993. He lives in Kerrville, Texas.
-- Jay Van Wormer was awarded the contractor driver of the year. He lives in Springdale, Ark. and joined the CFI team in 1992.
-- Bob and Beverly Mann were named the company team of the year. Bob began his driving career with CFI in 1997 and Beverly followed in 1998. The pair resides in Henderson, Nev.
-- Stacy Moran joined CFI in 1995 and Donna followed in 1998. The couple lives in Granbury, Texas, and was named the contractor team of the year.
CFI, founded in 1951, operates 2,500 tractors and more than 6,500 trailers, transporting a variety of goods throughout the contiguous United States and Canada.
CFI interlines with Mexican carriers at various border crossings to provide through-trailer service to Mexico. In addition to its Joplin headquarters, CFI operates five terminals. CFI and its subsidiaries have 37 sales offices throughout North America and employ more than 2,700 people.
