Organizers of the TCA Scholarship Fund will host a "Turbo Turtle Race" and continental breakfast in Hawaii on March 17, sponsored by ArvinMeritor and DNV Certification.

Adopting a turbo turtle could mean $5,000 in cash for the top winner. The event will take place at the Truckload Carriers Assn.’s annual convention at the Hilton Waikoloa Village in Kona, Hawaii.
Hundreds of ninja turbo turtles will be floating down the "Kohala River" at the hotel, heading towards the finish line. The chance of winning increases with the number of turtles purchased. Each turtle will be individually numbered and participants can adopt one or more of these ninja turbo turtles.
The cost is:
-- $15 for one "Surfing Turtle Dude,"
-- $35 for a "Threesome of Turbo Turtles,"
-- $75 for a Six-pack of "Turtles Hanging Ten,"
-- $125 for "Delta Force of 12,"
-- Or a company can sponsor a troop of "24 Ninja Dudes" for $250.
There will be numerous prizes, including a 1st place prize of $5,000 sponsored by Volvo Trucks North America, 2nd place prize of $2,500 from TMW Systems Inc. and a 3rd place prize of $1,000 provided by Specialty Risk Inc.
Someone will also be the lucky winner of $25,000 if they are the adopted parent of the specially numbered "Green Turbo Ninja Turtle" and it crosses the finish line at a specific time.
Proceeds will go towards the benefit of TCA’s Scholarship Fund.
