Werner Enterprises’ Joel Lewis is the latest truck driver to win a new Indian Scout motorcycle as part of Werner’s Driver Recognition Program.

The quarterly claim-free driver recognition program rewards the company’s safety-conscious drivers. Werner emphasis on driver safety has resulted in hundreds of professional drivers who have reached and exceeded one million miles without a preventable accident.
To qualify for the quarterly drawings, drivers must have: no leave of absence for the quarter; been available for dispatch for the entire quarter; been assigned to a tractor; have no chargeable accidents for the quarter; no workers’ compensation claims for the quarter; and no disciplinary reports on file.
In addition to the Indian Scout, 15 cash prizes also will be awarded in the quarterly drawings (five prizes each of $500, $750 and $1,000).
Lewis has been with Werner since 2002. President and COO Greg Werner, and John Frey, vice president of safety operations and compliance, handed Lewis the keys to his new motorcycle.
Werner Enterprises is a truckload carrier of general commodities in interstate and intrastate commerce. The company, headquartered in Omaha, Neb., runs dry vans, flatbeds and temperature-controlled vans in the 48 contiguous states and Canada and Mexico.
