LTL technology provider SMC3, Peachtree City, Ga. has announced enhancements to its BatchMark product.

SMC3’s BatchMark is an batch processing tool that enables the user to rate or re-rate thousands bills for price benchmarking, bid processing and analysis.
BatchMark version 3.0 contains new capabilities to guide the user through the batch rating process. These include a quicker, automated program startup function, an all-new status bar with user tips, and a “Pieces” column that allows for calculations such as average weight per piece, average pieces per shipment, etc.
The software program includes new features and enhancements made as a direct result of customer feedback. Previous versions allowed rating from one data module at a time. Version 3.0 enables rating up to 10 data modules for each batch run. Additionally, the user can select the same data module up to 10 different times, with each selection having different rating criteria. This is a must-have tool for businesses requiring a “what if” analysis.
The new version of BatchMark allows users to append state codes and/or Canadian provinces to their output file utilizing the input file’s origin and destination ZIP codes. A reports feature enables users to run reports based on given criteria for analysis and research. Multiple reports can be created for each run, and these reports can provide the user additional insight and valuable information based on their output file specifications. The reports generated are electronic text files in a comma-delimited format.
A “Multiple MC Floor” selection enables a unique minimum charge floor for up to 10 data modules. A different discount level can now be set for up to 10 data modules and the user can also set a sequential range of classes, and assign one FAK class for that range, for each of the 10 data modules.
