Schneider National Inc., the Wisconsin-based transportation and logistics services provider and one of North America's largest truckload carriers, has been named a Chrysler Group Gold Award winner for 2002.
Schneider National was one of five winn ers named in the Truckload category.
The Chrysler Group Gold Award is presented to suppliers that demonstrate outstanding performance in the areas of cost, quality, technology and delivery.
Schneider National hauled 160,000 loads for the Chrysler Group in 2002 and provided truckload, dedicated and intermodal services with a nearly perfect on-time rate. Schneider National was recognized in large part because of its participation in the Chrysler Group's Diversity Supplier Development program and its involv ement with the company's Materials Cost Management program, an initiative designed to increase quality and reduce costs.
Schneider National's long-standing relationship with the Chrysler Group began in 1984. The Chrysler Group has recognized Schneider National with awards for service 11 of the past 15 years.
