Qualcomm Inc. announced that four new members have joined its industry
consortium for untethered trailer asset management.

The latest members of the consortium are household goods carrier Atlas World Group and truckload giants Celadon Group Inc., Swift Transportation Co. Inc. and Werner Enterprises.
Trailer manufacturers Heil Trailer International and Hyundai Translead have joined the advisory council to provide trailer installation during the deployment of Qualcomm's untethered trailer asset management system.
Truckload enterprise software providers, Innovative Computing Corp. and McLeod Software Corp., have joined the council to offer back-office software integration for customers.
The Qualcomm Consortium, which was created in August 2003, consists of executives from leading companies in transportation and related industries.
The advisory council consists of strategic partners with a charter to provide critical integration capabilities at both the trailer installation end of the system and with the customer's back-office fleet management software.
