Paccar Inc. and Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire have announced the signing of a new long-term global agreement that continues the specification of Bridgestone brand truck tires as standard original equipment on Kenworth, Peterbilt and other Paccar vehicles.

For many years, Bridgestone tires were original equipment on Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks. Then, in 1991, the Bridgestone brand was selected by Paccar as "standard" original equipment, meaning that, unless otherwise specified by the buyer, every new Kenworth or Peterbilt truck is delivered with Bridgestone radials.
Besides supplying tires for Paccar trucks sold in the Americas, Bridgestone brand tires are also standard equipment on Paccar vehicles in other parts of the world.
In Europe, Paccar offers vehicles under the DAF, Foden and Leyland names, and manufactures and sells Kenworth trucks in both Mexico and Australia.
Nashville-based Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire, LLC is a subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc., whose parent company, Bridgestone Corp., is the world’s largest tire and rubber company. BFNT develops, manufactures and markets Bridgestone, Firestone, Dayton and associate and private brand tires. The company is focused on wholesale and original equipment markets, supplying passenger, light truck, commercial vehicle, off-road, agricultural and other tires to its customers in North America.
