Mack Brings Web Marketing to Dealers

The truck maker has created a template that dealers can use to create their own web sites.
The template package includes a home page, sections for showroom, sales, parts, service, leasing, new and used truck inventory, careers, and “about us.”
There is a “specials” page for promotions and sales and three pages dealers can use to create their own content.
The template resembles the new Mack web site launched last spring. That site focuses on Mack’s core businesses -- construction, refuse and heavy distribution. Visitors can view detailed information about Mack and its products; they can locate Mack dealers, download brochures and photos, and request more information. The site receives an average of 200,000 hits, 4,205 visits, and 24,000 page views per day.
According to Mack, tools in the dealer template package make developing and managing content easy, even for someone with no web site design experience. Wherever appropriate, links are provided to the Mack site.
For example, the “showroom” section is linked directly to detailed product information on the corporate site.
