Idealease Inc., a Chicago-based truck leasing and rental company, has partnered with PrePass to supply Idealease customers with its system, enabling them to bypass weigh stations and agricultural facilities throughout the nation.
PrePass, the nation’s first commercially available, coast-to-coast, weigh station bypass system, is a technology that enables qualified fleet operators to comply electronically with state weight, safety and credential requirements, enabling them to bypass weigh stations and inspection facilities while traveling at highway speeds.
Lance Bertram, Idealease vice president of marketing said, "Our customers will definitely benefit by utilizing PrePass. With every weigh station they bypass, they will be saving time and fuel which ultimately saves them money."
Idealease of North America has served the transportation industry since 1982. With more than 400 locations, Idealease is one of North America’s largest transportation companies. The Idealease fleet numbers more than 35,000 trucks, tractors and trailers.
Launched in California in 1995, PrePass is operational at 242 locations with many more coming soon. To date, more than 240,000 trucks are equipped with PrePass which has been deployed in 24 states.
