Owens Corning's first National Driver Appreciation Award was presented to Beau Baldwin, an independent contractor with Dart Transit Co.

Baldwin was presented the "Leave the Driving To Us" award, a vacation prize worth $2,000, at Dart's Dallas Operating Center in Lancaster, Texas.
Baldwin's trip was picked at random from some 9,500 van, flatbed, and tanker shipments made by Owens Corning in North America during National Driver Appreciation Week in August.
"Driver recognition is an important part of the business relationship between shippers and carriers, and Owens Corning is the only shipper I know that has a large and extensive program to recognize drivers throughout the year," said Joyce Jordan, executive VP of sales and marketing and chief operating officer at Dart's Dallas Operating Center.
Baldwin plans a camping trip to the Carolinas with his fiancee, Amber.
