Transport America celebrated Driver Appreciation Week last month with food, music, activities and prizes -- each day.

Drawings were held for prizes every day. All drivers were eligible, and some walked away with items such as a DVD player, Weber grill, gift certificates and CBs.
Many of the drivers were eager to show off their hot wheels in the Pride and Polish competition where the driver with the best looking truck won a set of passenger tires. Transport America also made sure drivers did not go hungry, with barbecues taking place each day of the week.
"Our drivers’ dedication and hard work allows the company to grow and maintain its success," said Steve Sichterman, director of recruiting. "Driver Appreciation Week is an opportunity for us to give something back to the drivers and let them know we value all that they do for us."
Two thousand people showed up for Driver Appreciation Week, which takes place each year.
