OrderPro Logistics has signed a letter of intent to acquire a trucking company based in Indianapolis with local warehousing, consolidation and distribution operations.
The target acquisition provides OrderPro Logistics entry into this strategic freight distribution market and blends smoothly with its Illinois-based operations. Indianapolis is considered a significant transportation center and is a natural crossroads for freight activity nationwide.
When combined with the company's other Midwest-based operations -- TransMex and EMC Trucking -- the acquisition strengthens its presence, customer base and customer service abilities.
The target acquisition is currently generating annual revenues in excess of $2 million, and has a track record of growth and profitability dating back to 1999.
According to Jeffrey Smuda, vice president of logistics operations, "OrderPro Logistics will provide the essential financial, marketing and systems elements required to assure the accelerated growth of this operation. We are particularly pleased that the founder of this company will remain with us.
