Fleetguard Inc., the global filtration, exhaust, coolant and chemical specialist for all diesel-powered equipment, plans to relocate its western distribution center from Sparks, Nev., to Salt Lake City, Utah.

The new distribution center is expected to be operational by the end of this year.
"Our current western distribution center in Nevada has served Fleetguard markets and customers well for the past 15 years, and our dedicated employees there have provided excellent customer service and support," said Gloria Hoselton, executive director of global logistics strategy implementation for Fleetguard. "However, we believe that Salt Lake City offers a more centralized location from which to better serve our customers."
The new location will enable Fleetguard to broaden its current distribution points and to meet the needs of the company's rapidly growing western oil and gas, mining, marine and rail markets.
Fleetguard operates another U.S. master distribution facility in Hebron, Ky., which serves the eastern United States. Adding a facility in Salt Lake City will provide the flexibility needed to better balance shipments between the two centers, Hoselton said.
Fleetguard Inc. is a business unit of Cummins Inc. Fleetguard's home page is at www.fleetguard.com.
