Prophesy Transportation Solutions, Inc., Bloomfield, Conn., has released LogPlus V.7., the latest edition of the the company’s top-selling driver log audit software.

The new release includes the new Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration hours-of-service rules that will go into effect on Jan. 4, 2004. The software will process driver’s logs based on the current rules until Jan. 4, at which time it will automatically “switch over” to the new rules, thereby guaranteeing companies remain in compliance while assuring a seamless transition to the new rules.
“Our customers are more comfortable having the new log audit software and rules set in place well before the Jan. 4, 2004 deadline, instead of waiting until the last minute. We have also decided to offer aggressive competitive trade-ins, since many software suppliers simply haven’t yet made the proper changes to accommodate the new rules,” said Prophesy Vice President Bill Ashburn.
First released in June 1996, LogPlus is used by thousands of transportation companies throughout North America.
LogPlus also allows predefined, company specific rules, such as speed limit policies, off-duty times, etc. LogPlus helps companies identify and track violations as well as supply required customizable warning and disciplinary documentation in compliance with DOT FMCSA (49 CFR Parts 385, 390, 395).
LogPlus V.7. comes with a built-in, state-approved mileage and routing database that enables companies to automatically check reported log miles for speeding violations quickly and accurately.
Driver toll and fuel receipts are cross-referenced for log falsification violations.
