The Truckload Carriers Assn. (TCA) is hosting its newest audio conference, "Freight Charges: How to Collect Them and How to Keep Them," from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 10.

In today’s transportation market, every dollar counts. To make a profit, trucking companies have to collect their revenues and hold on to them. This audio conference will explain freight collection issues including: what contract terms should be considered; what records should be kept; what "preferential payment" is; and how to avoid or defend against it.
The audio conference will feature Kenneth E. Siegel, an attorney for Strasburger & Price, LLP, Washington, D.C.; Kevin Burch, President of Jet Express Inc., Dayton, Ohio; Billy Leonard, an attorney at Strasburger & Price, LLP, Dallas, Texas; Mike Patrick, traffic manager for Jet Express; and Lela Stokes, credit manager for O & S Trucking Inc., Springfield, Mo.
This expert panel will address how to collect and keep freight charges, as well as current federal regulations on billing, DOT notice requirements, shipper penalties for late payment, the 180-day rule and the statute of limitations.
This informative audio conference is ideal for credit managers, accounts receivables managers, revenue managers, in-house counsels and sales and marketing managers.
