CFI, a truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo. has announced its driver award recipients for June 2003.

Company Driver of the Month is Kenny Bachman, who has been with CFI for two years. He lives in St. Joseph, Mo. and uses the handle "Doc Bach."
The Company Team of the Month is DeVerne Hunt and Carole Smith, who joined CFI in 1992. They reside in Joplin, Mo. and use the handles "Winged Warrior" and "Moon Rider."
The Contractor Driver of the Month is Kenny Petrey, a Joplin resident who joined CFI in 1999 and uses the handle "One-Eyed Jack."
And the Contractor Team of the Month is John and Sherry Hufford, who live in Bell, Fla. They have been driving with CFI for four years. They use the handles "Arcade" and "Angel Eyes."
As June’s winners, each driver and team is automatically nominated for the 2003 year-end award in their respective category. All full-time over the road drivers who have been certified as a driver at CFI for one year are eligible for the CFI driver awards.
CFI, founded in 1951, operates 2,400 tractors and more than 6,300 trailers, transporting a variety of goods throughout the contiguous United States and Canada. CFI interlines with Mexican carriers at various border crossings to provide through-trailer service to Mexico.
In addition to its Joplin headquarters, CFI operates five terminals. CFI and its subsidiaries have 37 sales offices throughout North America and employ more than 2,700 people. The driver fleet is made up of both company drivers and independent contractors.
