TMI has announced that FedEx Custom Critical Inc., a time-specific, critical-shipment carrier and a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., has selected TripPak Online to process
time-sensitive shipping documentation and provide workflow software tools.
"Business process improvements involving expedited collection and image processing of transportation documents will benefit every customer and contractor," said Scott McCahan, senior manager of safety and contractor relations for FedEx. "We set very high standards for process accuracy, image quality and audit functions. We were impressed with the TripPak Online operation."
"Accuracy and performance are central themes at FedEx Custom Critical," said Mark A. Cleveland, executive vice president for TMI, the company that developed TripPak Express and TripPak Online integrated document solutions. "We are proud to begin this relationship and confident TripPak Online will produce immediate business process improvement results."
TripPak Online provides an end-to-end solution, a secure environment for outsourced mailroom processing, with highly integrated workflow software. TMI stores and can retrieve if necessary any paper document, the key to meeting shipper demands for proof of delivery and all related paperwork, while their commercial scanning operations work overnight to capture images. TripPak Online certifies electronic documents, as a witness to the fact that each watermarked image is an original document, captured in a process that delivers an image that shippers accept as standing in the place of an original. These images drive invoicing, payroll processes and other functions.
FedEx Custom Critical exclusive-use vehicles provide time-critical pickup and delivery services to customers’ facilities, exactly where the focus on performance is at its highest, and where the total value chain now includes expedited shipping document processing for bills of lading and proof of delivery records.
TMI is a service provider to the trucking industry, with more than 700 major fleets participating in document management programs with TripPak Online and TripPak Express, featuring daily document collection at more than 1,500 truck stops, distribution centers and terminal facilities in the U.S. and Canada.
The 14-year old company is headquartered in Denver.
