Incoming ATA Chairman to Keynote McLeod Conference

McLeod Software, Birmingham, Ala., has announced that Fred C. Burns Jr., incoming 2003-2004 chairman of the American Trucking Assns., will be the keynote speaker at its 13th annual Users’ Conference, Sept. 24-27 in Birmingham.

Burns is president of Burns Motor Freight Inc., president of Burns Properties LLC, and president of Burns Equipment Co, LLC of Marlinton, W. Va. He has been an active and successful part of the trucking industry for many years. As the current chairman of the ATA Insurance Task Force, Burns will speak to conference attendees on tort reform.
