IdleAire Technologies Corp.'s Advanced Travel Center Electrification (ATE) system has been selected by R&D Magazine as "one of the 100 most technologically significant products introduced into the marketplace over the past year."

An independent panel of 60 judges and the magazine's editors made the selections.
IdleAire's ATE system allows long-haul drivers to turn off their engines while resting or waiting on loads instead of idling them to heat and cool the cab. It also provides new entertainment options.
The system can be installed anywhere long-haul trucks congregate and idle.
It provides heat and AC, a Pentium-class, color touch screen computer, 4-110V electrical outlets, telephone, high-speed Internet and E-mail, satellite television, movies on demand and interactive driver training.
IdleAire is a private technology and engineering company with headquarters and an engineering/testing facility in Knoxville, Tenn.
