Meeting international benchmarks for quality of manufacturing processes, products and customer support, Peterbilt Motors Co. is ISO 9001:2000 certified at all of its facilities, the company recently announced.

ISO 9001 certification is for companies whose business processes include design, development, production, installation and servicing. Peterbilt has been ISO certified since 1995. The requirements for certification were revised in December 2000, creating the new ISO 9001:2000 designation.
"Peterbilt is committed to providing customers with the industry's highest quality products and services," said Nick Panza, Peterbilt general manager and Paccar vice president. "ISO 9001:2000 certification confirms that Peterbilt adheres to the standards set forth by the International Organization for Standardization, accepted worldwide as the benchmark for overall operational quality."
Peterbilt's headquarters in Denton, Texas, and manufacturing facilities in Denton and Madison, Tenn. were audited by SGS, the largest independent management system registrar in the world. The certification process involves onsite evaluations at each location, as well as ongoing reviews to ensure compliance is maintained.
