Terion, a leading provider of asset-management solutions for the transportation industry, has reported orders from two of its customers.

XTRA Lease purchased an additional 4,000 FleetView units to be installed over the next several months, while J.B. Hunt ordered about 1,500 additional units as it continues installing FleetView in its trailer fleet.
These installations will bring the number of Terion units in the field to more than 65,000, according to Ken Cranston, president and CEO of Terion Inc. "FleetView delivers payback by reducing trailer-to-tractor ratios, increasing trailer revenue miles, increasing detention charges, as well as assisting in improving trailer cargo security," Cranston said.
FleetView provides a comprehensive trailer fleet management system that allows transportation companies to maximize efficiencies associated with trailer fleet operations. Typical benefits associated with FleetView include an increase in trailer utilization and a reduced trailer-to-tractor ratio. Information is provided to the operator through the Internet from its patented hardware and software design. The design integrates GPS and cellular technology for comprehensive coverage throughout the United States and Canada. The system is concealed to provide a covert installation.
