The University of Miami has announced the establishment of the M. Anthony Burns Center for Advanced Supply Chain Management in collaboration with Ryder System Inc. and IBM.

The center is named in honor of Burns, the former Ryder chairman who retired earlier this year after 28 years with the company.
The center will conduct research and provide executive education programs in supply chain management -- the process of managing the efficient flows of goods, information, funds and work among trading partners worldwide.
Seminar programs of the center are currently scheduled for March 17-19 and April 28-30 at the Conference Center of the Americas in the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Fla.
The program, "Supply Chain Management Today and Tomorrow: Maximizing Profits and Customer Satisfaction," is designed for executives within all industries who seek profit contributing supply chains. For additional information and registration call (305) 284-2933, or visit www.miami.edu/CASCM.
