The Transportation Sales & Marketing Association (TSMA) is holding its 2003 Spring Conference, April 6-9, 2003, at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

This year's conference, called "Removing the Roadblocks," is designed to arm sales and marketing professionals with proven tools for turning basic management skills and market information into competitive advantages. TSMA says the conference will provide practical ways to quickly identify and effectively eliminate the roadblocks routinely faced by sales and marketing professionals in the transportation industry.
The keynote speaker is Chris Lytle, founder of Apex Performance Systems and author of The Accidental Salesperson. Lytle's presentation, entitled, "The Secrets of Motivation That Motivational Speakers Don't Speak About," will take a fast-paced, yet detailed look at what really motivates people and how to break through all the motivational misinformation learned over time.
TSMA says the conference offers more than 15 hours of industry focused educational sessions. Each conference speaker and workshop leader will share knowledge on the sales and marketing techniques used by the nation's largest corporations.
The concluding roundtable discussion combines a presentation on innovative methods for attracting and retaining top performers with interactive discussions. The informal atmosphere of the roundtable discussion has made it one of the most popular segments of the conference's learning experiences.
The TSMA Spring Conference also hosts the 2003 Annual Communications Award Competition award ceremony. The Communications Award Competition is an opportunity for entrants to showcase their company's advertising and marketing talents while competing with similar size firms from across the United States and Canada. A panel of professional advertisers, artists and designers provides evaluations and critiques of each entry. Entrants use this valuable information to help them develop future marketing strategies and advertising pieces. The deadline for entering the competition is Friday, Feb. 14, 2003.
