The National Accounting & Finance Council (NAFC) of the American Trucking Assns. (ATA) has released the 2001 ATA Salaried Employee Compensation Survey.

The last salaried employee wage survey was conducted in 1997.
This study provides motor carriers with a valuable tool that can be used to review and revise executive and middle management wage programs within a trucking company. At the same time, the data is also useful for recruiting and retaining personnel in various positions in the trucking industry.
A total of 148 general freight and specialized carriers from across the country participated in this study by providing the most comprehensive data available on compensation practices in the industry.
Corporate executives responsible for compensation planning and administration within their organizations submitted information. This survey was based on data as of July 1, 2001.
