Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corp., Cleveland, Ohio, has completed its previously announced acquisition of the Boston Weatherhead division of Dana Corp. for a purchase price of $130 million.
The agreement was first announced on Oct. 1.
The acquisition supports Eaton's strategy to be a full-capability provider to the fluid power industry.
Boston Weatherhead manufactures hose, tubing and fluid connectors for fluid power systems primarily for industrial distribution, mobile off-highway and heavy-duty truck markets. In 2001, the Boston Weatherhead division had sales of $207 million and, at year-end, 1,049 employees.
