Con-Way Logistics Inc., an operating unit of Con-Way Transportation Services Inc. has announced a global partnership agreement with DFDS Transport Inc.,
a division of the DSV Group A/S, a European freight forwarding and logistics company, headquartered in Denmark.
"This partnership will immediately offer our customers and DFDS Transport customers a turnkey global logistics solution for their supply chain needs," said Michael S. Bare, vice president and general manager of Con-Way Logistics. "Our partnering with DFDS Transport offers businesses worldwide access to Tier 1 logistics services and supply-chain visibility through a single-source solution.
"Those services will include supply chain network analysis, modeling and optimization, warehousing and inventory management and comprehensive transportation management and optimization throughout the continental United States," Bare said. DFDS Transport customers will have access to Con-Way's North American warehousing, ground and air transportation network and real time inventory and order visibility. Con-Way customers will now have direct access to international ocean and airfreight transportation, global transportation tracking and tracing and international warehousing and logistics services. DFDS Transport has offices in 28 countries throughout Europe and the Far East.
