Averitt Express, one of the nation's leading freight transportation and logistics providers, has opened a new 23,000 square foot service center at 13923 Saint Charles Rock Road in St. Louis.

The new facility, which replaces Averitt's previous leased facility located at 333 E. Carrie, doubles the capacity of its previous local service center. Averitt's new 60-dock door St. Louis service center consists of a 2,700-square-foot administrative office and a 20,300-square-foot operations and dock area, all on an 8.5-acre lot.
Averitt currently employs 37 associates and has 25 tractors based on site at the new facility. The company, which has already added seven jobs this year, expects to double the number of driver positions in St. Louis over the next five years.
Averitt's new service center is equipped with an on-site fueling that makes use of a card-lock dispensing system that monitors fuel usage statistics and service center fueling information.
Through the new facility, Averitt will continue to provide freight transportation services throughout the St. Louis area as well as service to hundreds of zip code points within a 60-mile radius of St. Louis, including St. Charles, Pacific, and Washington in addition to Belleville and Alton, Ill.
Established in 1971, Averitt Express is a provider of global freight transportation and logistics services.
