Roadway Express Inc. has been named one of the most innovative users of information technology by InformationWeek in its 14th annual InformationWeek 500 issue recently published.
This is the third consecutive year Roadway has been named to the list.
Companies named to this list demonstrate a pattern of technological, procedural and organization innovation.
"Roadway's IT innovations continue to bring customers unique value, ensuring that information about their freight is delivered as timely and intact as the freight itself," said Bob Obee, vice president and chief information officer for Roadway. "We go to great lengths to provide the best data integrity in the industry, and that gives customers the "supply chain visibility" they need. Recognitions like this confirm that our efforts are appreciated and respected by the IT community as well, and we thank InformationWeek for that."
The InformationWeek 500 is a detailed source of industry-specific IT budget data. The research project gathered in-depth information directly from companies about how they approach and prioritize their IT investments.
