Hub Group Inc. and Grupo TMM have announced an operating partnership between Hub Group and TMM Logistics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Grupo TMM.
The agreement creates a joint network to manage freight moving between Canada, the United States and Mexico. It calls for TMM Logistics to provide all sales support and operational execution within Mexico, and Hub Group to furnish the same capabilities in Canada and the United States. A newly formed division of Hub Group, called Hub Mexico, will provide joint marketing, door-to-door oversight and coordination as well as pricing support.
The partnership integrates various modes of transportation with a seamless logistical process to create customized cross-border transportation solutions. TMM Logistics says it occupies a unique position in the Mexican market, being the ideal link between railways, roads and ports as well as linking many of the main cities and production centers of the country. Hub Group operates more than 30 offices throughout the U.S. and Canada, offering a complete range of intermodal, highway, railcar and logistics services.
