Trucking industry and government experts in the areas of cargo loss prevention, human resources, safety, and security, will gather Sept. 29-Oct. 2
for the American Trucking Associations Safety & Loss Prevention Management Council’s 2002 Fall Conference and Exhibition.
The meeting will be held at the Nugget Casino Resort, Sparks (Reno), Nev. Nearly 400 truck industry professionals are expected to attend the conference’s training sessions and roundtable discussions. The Exhibition Center will feature nearly 60 vendors showing the latest innovations and equipment in truck safety, security, and human resource services.
Featured speakers include George Rodriguez of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Transportation Security Administration and Joseph Clapp, Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Top officials from USDOT’s Research and Special Programs Administration and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will join them.
Concluding the conference will be honors for the best in the industry: President’s Trophy, Driver of the Year, Safety Director of the Year, Cargo Claims Professional of the Year, Security Professional of the Year, Excellence in Security Award, Excellence in Cargo Claims Award.
