Safefreight Technology, Jacksonville, Fla., has signed a deal with Toronto-based Paradigm Advanced Technologies to use Paradigm’s tracking system in Safefreight’s cargo security offering.

According to a company announcement, Safefreight, a leader in cargo security and asset monitoring and tracking, has developed with Paradigm a high-tech weapon in the war against truck and cargo thieves. The solution is based on satellites, wireless networks and the Internet converging in portable tracking devices that monitor location and movement and secure freight from tampering.
Safefreight will license the wireless, location-based technology from Paradigm, including Vehicle and Asset Location Devices and Tracker, an LSP Server offering mapping, wireless network access, Internet connectivity and security, billing and other advanced functions.
