The episode will discuss the history and development of heavy-duty trucks over the past century. The program was taped in March, and features series host Ron Hazelton touring the Macungie plant and joining workers on the production line.
The half-hour episode is scheduled to run at 7 p.m. EDT on Saturday, September 7.
Located on Alburtis Road in Macungie, Pa., near Allentown, Mack's 990,000-square-foot plant manufactures construction and refuse vehicles, including the new Granite series. The facility employs approximately 800 people and produced 12,400 vehicles in 2001.
